Passport request but no medical done yet

iRCC requested my wife to submit her passport but she hasn’t done medicals yet (spousal open work permit). We have submitted the passport..
i hope there is no implication for this?
we were only following IRCC instructions

Hey, can you update on your application? My parents received PPR today but no medical request. I applied for their super visa.
