passport request after everything approved

Hello all,

I am planning go back to my home country in February. Right now i am on work permit status in canada. On my express entry application just medical is passed now.

I am worried about what if i get Passport request in February , if i am in my home country.

Can anybody please help me. Thanks in advance.

How long has your application been in and how long will you be in your home country?

It's a bit of a risk you might be "stuck" but it depends on those factors.

I was thinking of visiting a different country too but unless you have to, I would put it off for couple of months. If you do decide to go, you have to get a new PCC as the old one won't be valid. I think you can wait till you come back to submit your passport later as long as your medical is still valid. Not 100% sure though

How can people help you if you don't provide any details?
Timeline is important for you. Have you already passed 6 months after applying?

This thing about the PCC is definitely not true. Everything is locked once you submit your APR, and unless they specifically request a new PCC, you can travel as much as you want.

If you are in a different country when your PPR comes, and you're staying there for a while, you can request a change of VO for visa stamping purpose.
