I have been granted Canada PR recently & I would be doing soft landing in Sept. 2016 for 2 weeks. My passport renewal is due in Aug. 2017.
As PR Card generally takes 2 months to process, I assume that latest by November end, I would be receiving my PR card. Then I want to renew my passport immediately.
Before my final settlement, how I can notify CIC about my passport renewal? What is the procedure and how much time it takes? Can I travel anytime to Canada with my PR card or I need to receive some kind of confirmation from CIC that my passport has been renewed?
