Apologies if this is not in the right forum.
I am currently in Vancouver and have an Indian passport. Want to renew , but do not have my COPR, I discarded it.It seems its a required document and I have applied to CIC for the same. However, its more than six months processing time.
My issue is, I have 8 month left in my passport, but need to travel (and come back) from India in coming months.
Does anyone has any similar experience with CGI Vancouver.that to request new passport without the landing paper. What are my options ? please help.
1- Can I return from India with only 2 month validity on my passport ?
2- Not able to get in touch with Consulate General India over phone.
3- Did get a reply back from the consulate via email saying -- COPR is required. I know that but was looking for other option that I have.
4- Will visiting the consulate help ? Does anyone has any similar situation/experience
