Passport Possibly Expiring During Process

Dear all,
My passport is going to expire on 27 march 2018 while my deadline APR submission is 16 Aug 2017. It's technically valid for 6 months since the day I submit. But in case I get COPR, it's gonna expire very soon. What should I do now? I think my country only allows to renew PP within 6 months before expiring date and it would be after my submission.
Should i go on submit my current passport and renew later? Or i have to renew it now and change all the information filled in, is it risky? Thank you a lot!!!

Submit now and just update IRCC when you get your new passport.

I had the similar issue, In india you can't renew passport until 6 months from expiry date. And in the same time I got request to submit the passport. When I got the request I had 5 months and some few days to expiry of passport.

I send them email but didn't got any answer, so I took the risk and submitted the passport. Good thing I got confirmation of COPR. so I guess until you have very few month left (1-2) you could submit the passport.

and your landing date depends on the medical date, you will get your temporary visa validity till the expiry of your medical certificate only.
