Passport Expiry

Hi there yet again, sorry!

I am currently applying for PR through a Spousal Sponsorship -inside Canada-, and at the same time applying for an OWP. Everything is almost filled out ready to be sent.

My UK passport expires in January 2014 which is pretty close. I was hoping a cover letter on my application, stating I plan to renew this, would suffice. Does passport expiry create complications in processing my PR & OWP?

MY passport is expiring in January 2014 as well. All we need to do is contact CIC once new passport arrives and send the photocopies to them by mail or uploading(one of these i believe)

Great thanks, does the expiry date of my passport alter the outcome of my application? As in, should I start renewing my passport straight away?

If you can renew your passport at this time then by all means go ahead...just make sure to renew it before it expires.
