She doesn't need to write an essay but she should clearly explain the financial situation, a settlement plan and how you will continue to support the family.

What about taxes, I am going to be working for a us company while living in Canada. What kind of taxes am I going to have to he paying?

A combination of Canadian a US taxes. Your wife will have to declare your family income in Canada.

Ok, and in this letter can we also detail how we plan to permanently settle in Canada once the application is approved? I ask because there is a section where it asks us to provide proof that we will live in canada once i become a permanent resident and we are unsure how to do this.

I have one final question regarding my daughters Citizen Certificate Application, one of the checkbox items is a Marriage Certificate, i am just wanting to make sure they are not asking for mine and her mothers, but they are referring to hers if she were married correct?
