Passport expire problem

Hi all,

I'm currently waiting for my work permit to be approved (expected in December), meanwhile waiting for FSW PR approval (at IP2 stage).
However, my passport is due to expire in May 2023. Currently, due to some restrictions by the government, it is hard to renew a passport.

My question is:

1. Will they issue me a work permit and visa with this passport?
2. WIll they issue me the one-time entry visa for PR with this passport?
3. If I get PPR for PR before my work permit is approved, shall I contact IRCC and cancel the work permit application?
4. What should I do if I get PPR for PR soon after I already sent my passport for WP?

Plus: I'm planning to land in Canada before the date my passport expires.

Hi I was wondering you managed to get the work permit with a passport that was expiring? I am in a similar situation, I applied for a work permit end April 2023 but my passport is expiring August 2024. My work duration is supposed to be for two years until end 2025.
