Passport dispatched by OC Delhi OC on X date and is in transit

what is the meaning of this message - Passport dispatched by OC Delhi OC on X date and is in transit. I submitted the passport in the Chennai VFS office on 06th Dec and as on today the status is as mentioned. My understanding is that passport has been dispatched from the VFS office and is in transit to Canada high commission office.. is this right?

Hi,
I am also in the same situation.I have applied my visa on 12 dec 2011.Today,14 dec 2011 ,passport status is passport has been dispatched by OC Delhi OC on 14/12/2011 and it is in transit.Even I am unable to understand it.
How about you??when did you receive your passport??
