Passport Data Page request

I submitted my application in July. I am being asked to resubmit my passport data page. My passport is going to expire February 2018. Am I supposed to submit to go get a new passport or should I just send the old one? The notice given (3 days) is too short to process a new one.

Thanks I got a new passport now, I will just upload it. Do you think its a good idea to upload the data page of the old one. Though my new passport made reference to the Passport number of the expiring one.
