Passport Canada called for expedite Passport

June 23 - Mail in for new passport application
Sept 7 - went to passport office for request to expedite my passport - need to travel at end of Sept.
- Was provided case # to return Sept 27 to pick up the passport
Sept 14 - Credit card charged $160 from Passport Canada
Sept 25 (Sunday) - Passport Canada called that I will be charge $95 for processing and file transfer
- I was told that I requested for passport transfer less than 17 weeks - that is the reason I'm being charge
- I will receive a call tomorrow for my credit card info

Hopefully someone here can confirm that getting a call from Passport Canada regarding credit card info and payment
Can I request to pay at Passport Office when I pick up my passport?

They perhaps did not charge you this 95 by oversight when charging the 160. Considering that you are almost near your collection date (& travel) might as well pay it over the phone rather than risk a delay.

Of course you can request to pay in person when collecting - requesting doesn't hurt! They reserve the right to refuse requests.
