Hi Guys,

I got my PR in 2014 while staying in Canada. I could not renew my passport from my country at that time due to some documents missing and required by the Indian consulate. However Immigration Canada did issue me the PR after verifying that the process could take very long for me to get the passport.
After I became the PR I applied for the travel document from Passport Canada and and have been traveling to US and other countries with the Travel document. However I recently got the call from the indian consulate that I can pick up my new passport. I know I will have to return the travel document (I will lose the 10 years US VISA on it too) but I can't find any information if I have to take the new passport to immigration canada office and get some sort of stamp or I can simply start travelling on the indian passport. I did talk to one of the IRCC rep but they had no idea.

TY
