pass port number has been changed-2008 applicant

friends- pls help
my aor is in jan. 2008 . my previous pass port expired got new one . do i need to inform cic london the change in the passport number. they didn't ask me to submit my documents yet . before submitting the documents can i inform them the change.

Of course!. You should send a copy of your new passport with a covering letter quoting your file number on both.
