Pasport Problems

My wife and kids' passports are about to expire, new ones have been applied for. We should have them by the end of this week. Do I need to inform CIC of the change?

The UAE visas also require renewal. UAE residence visa stamping formalities take a week, 10 days to complete. So the new pasports shall be out of my hands for 2-3 weeks.

On receiving PP request, how long do we have to send our pasports off. I was wondering if this would be a problem?

London PPRs usually state between 45 to 60 days to submit passports from the date of the letter. I think you are still in the safe zone as long as you have already started the process of renewing the passports. UAE residence visa renewal takes less than 10 working days (Just 3 days in our case). But that is in Abu Dhabi, I don't know in other emirates.

I also renewed my passport and have been advised by other forum members to send CHC an email informing them of the change. I will be sending them both old and new passports anyway because the UAE residence visas are still valid in the old passports.
