I have 2 years of NOC B level job experience but I was a student visa while I was doing my bachelor and masters in Germany. Can I claim points for that ? since this is nothing to do with Canada.

These are the requirement for a FSW program https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers.html

Main points are
  • at least 1 year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous:
    • full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • equal amount in part-time: 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
You must show that you did the duties set out in the occupational description in the NOC. This includes most of the main duties listed.

If you can’t show that your work experience meets the description in the NOC, you aren’t eligible under this program.

Thank you for your reply. I understand that completely. However what I have asked is I was on a student visa in Germany while I had the work experience would that be counted?

There is no mention of it as such...

You can provide documents such as Appointment/job offer letter, pay slips, and detailed reference letter and they meet the number of hours worked etc, and no gaps
