Paris Visa office - Spousal cases - processing times

Website says Paris takes 8 months to process spousal applications.
Any people on here that can give a more realistic timeline of what to expect from Paris visa office.
I tried the search but can't find much on Paris office processings.

My husband got his PPR in just under 5 months - he's from Portugal. I think the European cases processed in Paris are faster than the AFrican ones that are processed there.
