Paris Immigration is asking for Passport Photocopy instead of Passport

Hi,

I received a mail from IRCC.CPCO-FinalRequest-CTDO-DemandeFinale.IRCC@cic.gc.ca asking for the following to process my visa(Applied for PR):

Veuillez nous faire parvenir à l’adresse suivante :

IRCC Paris

Ambassade du Canada

130 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré

75008 Paris, France

les documents suivants :

1. La page 1 de ce document.
2. La photocopie du passeport de chacune des personnes inclue à la demande.
3. 2 photos rencontrant les spécifications telles qu’indiquées au http://www.cic.gc.ca/francais/information/demandes/guides/pdf/5445FB-f.pdf
4. Une lettre précisant la couleur des yeux de chaque personne et la taille.


I am in Canada right now with a student visa. Can someone please help me with the way forward with this. I don't know why I need to send the documents to Paris :O

I am from India. Had applied for the PR while I was working in Zurich

Paris is the VO for Switzerland.

That is correct. But since now I am in Canada(had already informed Paris immigration 2 months back) do I need to send docs to Paris(Can the process be completed from Canada) and also they have asked for passport photocopy which seems weird.

When you get the actual passport request, you will be given the option to send it to Ottawa.

Yes, they often request a photocopy before requesting the actual passport.
