Hello All,

I am planning to apply Canada visitor visa for my parents who are in India now. In my case the resident address on mothers passport is different from resident address on father passport. This is because mother passport applied first and then father passport after their job retirement from different city.

Will there be any problem for Visitor visa for my parents in this scenario?

In India its not easy to change address on passport. So not thinking of that option right now.

Please suggest.

Thanks,
Pardes

Hi Pardes,

When your parents fill the TRV application forms, they have to provide their current mailing address.... and their residential address.... which can be different from the address on the passports

And, for both applications, their current address will be the same.... so there should be no problem

All the best :)

Thanks for reply.

Do I need to mention in invitation letter that address on passport is old?

In the TRV form I will put Current mailing address and residence address as New address matching to my Father passport address. Will that be okay?

It's not necessary but they can mention this point in their individual Covering Letters

Please give their current address

What's more important is to ensure that they demonstrate very strong ties/evidence to India + reasons to return to India

All the best :)
