Hello all,
I’m a Canadian permanent resident and hoping to get my parents to visit me. Whilst I have checked the CBSA and Govt. of Canada websites, I’m still anxious and would appreciate answers on some things I’m a little confused about.
My parents have a valid Visitor visa and are fully vaccinated. The vaccine is on the approved list of vaccines and it has been more than 14 days since their second shot.
From what I see, they should be eligible to travel under exemptions and possibly exempt from quarantine. I am however trying to confirm;
a) Is an authorization letter from IRCC still required?
b) Their point of entry will be Toronto, whereas their final destination is Calgary; same day flight. Do they need a quarantine plan for just Toronto, Toronto and Calgary, or just Calgary?
c) If they are required to do an arrival test at Toronto airport, do they have to wait until the results are back before boarding their onward flight?
Thanks for your help in advance!
