Hi
I have a question, so can my friend sponsor my parents? I mean can he pledge that he will be legally responsible for my parents financially if they needed any help with the money and provides his income tax and bank statement and all the documentation that they ask for, would that be ok?

Not for a visitor visa. Invitation letters are not legal undertakings.

For a super visa, you must be related to the person being sponsored - so your friend could not sponsor your parents.
