Parents Visit Visa

Hi,

i am PR holder and wants to sponsor my parents on visit visa along with my brother. They live in Karachi Pakistan. Parents are 60+ age and brother is married having 3 childrens and wife. But we want him to come with parents as they are old and he will accompany them and they will come and stay for 25-30 days at max.

1- How much bank statement do I need to sponsor them ? (15K to 18K is enough with 7K per month income)

2- What strong ties I have to show for parents at back home ?

For a visit visa it is generally about how an applicant can support themselves financially for a visit and not the financial status of their hosts in Canada which is a requirement for a super visa.

To support your parents applications they can include a letter of invitation from you but that doesnt require proof of income/savings for a visit visa, only if were a super visa application

Also assume you are aware the current processing time for a visa is 237 days so would be late summer 2021 before they could travel depending of course where the restrictions are with COVID by then..

By the way most would think that 60+ is not that old unless unfirm or with medical conditions whereas 70-75+ might start to be considered old

Not to hijack the post, but thought I would ask here:

What do you recommend as I'm trying to apply for Parent super visa?

Should we wait till early 2021? or if we wait then the backlogs will add more time to clear all pending 2020 cases.

We were thinking to invite mother for Christmas since we have not seen here in 7 years and we have a new born coming in November 2020.
