last year, me and my husband(co-signer) applied for my parents in the month of july then i was on maternity leave and received my maternity checks until october.But from october 2010 im not working. My husband's income is sufficient to apply for my parents so Is this necessary that should i go for work to show my income?

As long as your husband's income is sufficient to meet LICO for the sponsorship, you will be fine.
