Hi There,

I landed in 2018 and have two tax submissions for 2018 and 2019. For 2020, income and tax declarations will only be after Jan next year in 2021.
Can I still apply assuming that my income will be more that the required limit in 2020 and income/tax fillings for 2020 will only happen after Jan next year i.e. Jan 2020. Please assist

There is a table showing three years income in link below:
https://www.cicnews.com/2020/10/parents-and-grandparents-program-2020-opens-today-1016057.html?utm_source=newsletter#gs.ipbok8

Thanks in advance

Thanks
Sahil

Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes, I do cover the min req for 2018/19. Is there any place I can confirm or do I call CIC. I am just in the fear of getting a rejection at a later stage if the lottery comes through :) Please advise.

You would need to call the CIC help desk.

If your income in 2018, 2019 on line 150 of those NOA exceed the amount listed in the CIC table, then you can apply.

What is your concern? Are you not sure on how to calculate your family size?

Wish you could read the complete thread and understand what is stated in plain English before putting up nasty comments on calculating family size. May be you are confused on your numbers, so see everyone in the same boat... lol... May God bless you with wisdom... Peace :)

Assume you realize only your Canadian taxable income will count. When people land in 2018 makes a big difference.

I read it and I read the post on the IRCC site
"Note: Because the program has opened later than usual this year, sponsors will be invited to apply near the end of the year so we expect to get applications in early 2021 (likely January and February). Because of this, we’ll assess sponsors on their income for tax years 2020, 2019 and 2018.

We know you may not get your 2020 Notice of Assessment (NOA) until after you apply. So, for the 2020 process, we’ll accept your application if you include your 2019 and 2018 NOAs along with it, and submit your 2020 NOA as soon as it’s available."

So I was wondering what you were trying to ask.
