I need your advice on the best approach for applying for a visa. Here is my situation: I have a PR and am a full-time employee and part-time student. I want to bring my parents and my sister, who is a doctor in Iraq. Both parents aren't working and are living in Iraq (our home country) and Qatar (on a permanent family class visa, not working there, sponsored by my brother in Qatar).
I want to invite them to my graduation, which is in February 2024, and here are my questions:
I know for the parents it's different and there are multiple options, like super visa and family class PR, but that does not apply to my sister; none of them want to stay in Canada, so I thought TRV for all? Is this the best option?
How do I invite them to my graduation? Is it just a letter that I write and sign? any specific information I should provide? and template?
The process takes a long time. Should I apply now or wait for some time? I will graduate 6 months from now, and the certificate will be 8 months from now.
Should I use their country of residence, Qatar, or Iraq? Does it make any difference? I think they have stronger ties in Iraq like my sister job, my father house ... etc. Should I use Iraq?
Is there one application for all, or does each one have its own? specifically parents? Do we link them?
How does it work? Do I apply for them with my account, or does each one apply from their account and attach the invitation letter? I remember the application saying there is no one accompanying you. So what would you guys recommend here?
The last question is: should I do a TRV or PR application for my parents?
