can anyone please clear if marriage certificate is a must for parents application or is there any alternative that is accepted by immigration as my parents home country Is India and they didn’t had any certification for
Marriage in 80’s

An affidavit will work but people have been asked for Marriage certificate on later stage. ( one of my know is asked even for super visa) so It’s wont take long to come , probably in a week. One of my friends parents were married in 70s and they are applying for marrige certificate as well. Just go to any court and othere are plenty of agents to help you out.
