Parental Sponsorship - JAN 2015 RE-OPENING

Hi...

Please pardon me for my ignorance and may be silly question...

im looking to sponsor my mother to canada as i heard the PGP program will restart in JAN 2015..IM sure the cap will fill as quickly as it did in 2014..that being said is there anything i can do right now..like submit the application to be a sponsor ...any help in this regard is appreciated as I would not like to miss the opening this time!

No you can't submit anything now. You need to wait for CIC to update their PGP forms (probably in late December), then send in the complete application as soon as possible after the program re-opens officially on January 2.

Due to all those that missed the cutoff last year, and more people that qualified with new incomes for this year, I expect the 5000 cap will fill up much quicker. I'd guess 1 week, 2 weeks max.

For sure, I agree with Rob_TO. I'll bet there are 5000 alone who missed the cut-off that are ready and waiting for Jan 2 to roll around.
