My parents have been in the process of permanent residence under the Parents and Grandparents program. IRCC asked us to pay RPRF by Oct 23, but my dad has recently ended up in in hospice care and there's no way he can proceed with the biometrics and stuff. How do we handle this with IRCC while keeping my mom’s PR safe?

I'm very sorry about your father.

Unfortunately there is no way to do that. Both your parents have to give biometrics and take and pass the medical in order for the PR application to be approved.

I’m very sorry. I’d don’t want to appear insensitive but how long he ends up staying in hospice may determine what is possible and what is not.

Thanks for the reply. That sucks. Was hoping at least mum could have continued her process.

Hey, did not think of it as insensitive. Appreciate the reply
I agree with the comment that was posted and was thinking the same thing but couldn't figure out a sensitive way to say it. All the best for you and your family. Super hard situation.
