Hello all

This is my first post here. I have been looking around everywhere for someone with similar concern, but haven't found any post about this yet. So please excuse me if this is a repeat.

I gave and passed my citizenship test recently. Everything went well at the document verification process and at the end I was told by the officer that my application and the documents will now be forwarded to the judge. The officer gave me a verdict of clearance and told me that if the judge agrees with his (officer's) verdict I will be getting the oath ceremony date within 2 months. I just need to know whether this is common for everyone ? I mean are all the applications sent to the judge after you clear the test ? This is eating me from the inside...

Any help or view would be appreciated...

Rahul,

This is a pretty normal process and every immigration officer has his own way of putting is across. You file is fine. If there was something which was of concern, they would have asked you for additional documents then and there. Sometimes a CIC officer can do mistakes and that is why after there recommendation, the file is checked by support staff as per check list if not done initially. Stay calm and be excited to become a Canadian Citizen

Hi Rahul , I have same experience the officer told me that my file will be decided by CJ.
can u give ur timeline and ur test center?
