Bit a unique situation here. I got AOR for my eAPR (CEC) on April 25th, applied for a BOWP on paper, and it was received at the Edmonton Case Processing Centre on May 2nd. Quoted processing time on day of mailing was 12 days for a paper app. It hovered around 12-15 days for the two weeks following submission. Fast forward 2 weeks, I call as I had not gotten AOR or anything, and there was no record of my app in the system. No temporary file, nothing. They had no record of receipt on their end.
I was told to wait a few more weeks, and still nothing happened. Now in early June, I called again, same conversations as above. No record of receipt, etc. The agent was helpful, asked around, and finally instructed me to resubmit the same paper app but to a NEW address in Edmonton (same building just a different department I guess) and include a letter of explanation explaining that the first attempt was misplaced. At the bottom of the email, it said would be processed within 10 business days. Exact verbiage here: "The responsible office will process your application within 10 business days from the date of reception." Tomorrow will mark BD # 10.
My question is, has anyone had this happen before? Does your verdict come by mail, email, etc.? I provided my email, but assume a decision would come via mail as they'd likely need to send the physical visa should it get approved?
