Hello,

A question to all. My friend is applying for immigration and his wife has her father's name on her educational documents and on NIC she has husband name as surname. Kindly tell me does it matter that she should has same surname on all documents or its fine. Ofcourse they will submit marriage certificate with application. thanks.

This will not be problem for CIC. Many women take the surname of their husband (or husband's family) after marriage. Just to be sure, send the following documents to CIC with your application:

1) Explanation letter detailing the situation
2) Principal Applicant's CNIC with certified translation
3) Wife's CNIC copy with certified translation
4) Copy of Wife's educational documents
5) Marriage Certificate (Nikah-Nama) with certified translation OR NADRA marriage certificate from union council which is in both English and Urdu
6) Copies of Family Registration Certificates (FRC) from NADRA, a) principal's applicant's family, b) Wife's family

Make sure names are spelled correctly by NADRA and dates of birth match.
