Pakistanis Applying for student Visa for Jan 2016 intake! share experiences

I applied on 29th October, please pray for me, I was rejected for the first time I applied in September, applied second time after a month.

Guys, I received a refusal letter today :'( Didn't know CIC operated on Sundays too.

The reason is "family ties in Canada and country of residence". I have one younger brother in university and my mother who is widowed, in Pakistan. My father passed away 4 years ago. I have no family in Canada.

In my SOP I mentioned that my small family needs me back in Pakistan. I also attached references from my existing employer.Why would they think that I wouldn't leave at the end of my stay?

If there anything I can do to offer a rebuttal to their concerns? The letter says I must reapply with new processing fees.

How did you get your letter ? By email ?

It was an electronic notification on my CIC account.

Don't know what's happened to CIC. If they don't want students they should just shut their system down.

I applied for visa on 15th September

Even I applied on the 15th September. Did you get any response from the visa office? Where did you apply from?

Anyone who applied in September n got his visa? I'm waiting from 55 days since done with medical.

it's been 12 weeks yesterday for my visa application but still no reply from CIC. medical also done. Paper based application received on 15th September. Medical done on 14th October, STill waiting. Has anybody contacted CIC regarding the processing times these days for pakistanis in getting the student visa. Although the website mentions 12 weeks. Please let me know?

I have done my BSC double majors in economics and finance from Lahore School of Economics in 2013. Currently working in a bank. Also have another job on my CV at an accounting company. Have applied for Supply chain management from University of Windsor.

So what is the other way to interact with them as I have literally three weeks before my classes start. Have to do a lot of preparation and resignation to do before leaving. Isn't there any way to communicate with them. How do CIC interact with people with genuine reasons?

just relax you will receive it in no time. January is the peak session, if you have received medical they cant over see your application. You will get visa soon.
