Pakistani national residing in UAE

Salam all,

I am very concerned about my application. My spouse is a Pakistani citizen who has been living in U.A.E. We got married in Pakistan and now we are back in U.A.E while our application gets processed. We completed the U.A.E guide and forms and followed those instructions but our file was transferred to LVO. My concern is around the documents submitted since U.A.E guide does not require original documents for these: marriage certificate, birth certificate, education.

We submitted notarized copy of Nadra Marriage Ceritificate attested by ministry of foreign affairs, notarized copy of urdu nikkah nama attested by ministry of foreign affairs, notarized copy of nadra birth certificate attested by ministry of foreign affairs and the same for university degree. Now that file was transferred to LVO, I feel they might ask for all these documents in their original form other than the english nikkah nama which we sent the original for. Since attested by ministry of foreign affairs, does anybody here know if that would be sufficient? or they will ask for the originals for all of these documents? and if so should we call them and explain how our file was transferred to LVO instead of Abu Dhabi so we did not submit originals but notarized and attested copies? and that if its ok to send it to them now since our file was just recently transferred to LVO.

Also what about the country specific forms? will they be requiring the ones from the pakistan country specific guide and if we should forward them those in advance as well? any help is appreciated.

Same thing happened with me. I'm Pakistani Citizen and working in Oman since last 3 years, I also completed Middle East guide and forms. I was also expecting my file may be transferred to Abu Dhabi visa office, but fortunately or unfortunately it transferred to LVO on January, 2016 after sponsor approval. I attached all those documents which u mentioned in your post with my application. they requested me some additional documents in Sept, 2016 and in November, 2016. I'm still waiting for remedical and PPR.. LVO really take too long to process for Pakistani citizens.

oh i see. Can you tell me your time line ? and also what documents did they request ?

Police Certificate: Provide an original police clearance certificate Pakistan
 Police Certificate: Updated certificate from Oman
 Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature Please ensure that you list any previous visa refusals on Question 6 of the form.
 Client Information: Evidence of your current immigration status in Oman.
 Communication, proof: Passport stamps, photos and travel itineraries if your sponsor has visited you since the submission of your application.
 Client Information: Copies of your sponsor's passport entry/ exit stamps as for all journeys to and from Pakistan and Oman.
 Communication, proof: Evidence of communication with your sponsor during all periods apart since your marriage such as internet chat records. Please ensure that the records clearly indicate that the communication was between you and your sponsor.











thanks for that information. I don't think they will ask me to submit this because I never lived in Pakistan. I have lived all my life in UAE and in the UK so I provided police certificates of UK and UAE. I really hope its no issue.

Whats your timeline? When did you apply? When did you get SA? and when was your file transferred to LVO ?

VO depends on the citizenship of the Principal Applicant that is why the file is transferred to LVO. Did you submit application as per old application forms or new ones (new forms came in December 2016).

It is not too late, you can download the relevant country specific forms, and go through the country specific document checklist, attach these and post to LVO with a cover letter in which you explain why you are sending them now.

I used the old forms as I applied early December. I was thinking of waiting in case they need the Pakistan Specific forms because I never lived in Pakistan. I have lived my entire life in UAE and UK but I am a Pakistani national so lets see. Apparently they are currently processing August applications right ?

They did ask for re medical from an Aug-16 applicant however a lot of june/july applicants are waiting in line.
