You have to just keep checking your email and also MyCIC and look at the status. The first thing that you need to see is for your medicals to be approved. Once you see that it means that they have started looking into your file. Then look at the background check status. That one will take the longest. There is no definite way it will change but from most that I have seen as well as myself it will go from background check in progress (IP1) to Non applicable (NA) to background check in progress again (IP2) and then after that would be confirmation of PR (PPR). This whole process can take a while (eg. +/-6 months).

This process is very dependent on:
1. Your case officer's thoroughness
2. How complete your docs are
3. Security checks

The main thing you will need to have is PATIENCE and LUCK.

Hope that helps

Good luck
