hello friends.. thankyou for your advice in the past.. this forum helped me two years ago and i wanted to share my experience.. i entered canada in winnipeg , with a valid p.r card, but without enough time to fulfill my residency obligations before the p.r card expires.. in less than a year after i entered, my p.r got expired, but i kept living here untill i completed two years. My stay in canada all these time was good. i found job, i got healthcare and i did my studies. this country gave me so much. i have no complains,i only want to say thankyou canada..
Now that i have two years, can i apply for the renewal. Is there any change in the rules of processing or anything. In the Last 5 years i have completed 2 years. When i entered canada, i didn't get a stamp on my passport which indicate the date of landing etc. so how can i prove that i entered canada on that date. I opened bank account two days after and i got driving licence two months after my landing, and all of it shows the date clearly. so i hope that will be good enough proof of my presence. can i go ahead with the application.?

Yes, you can apply to renew now. They will only look at the 5 year period before the date you apply to renew. If you have 2 years in that time, you shouldn't have a problem. You can wait an extra couple of weeks if it makes it easier to prove for you. I assume you have also been living somewhere, rent an apartment? When did you move in there? Have you been filing taxes?

If you have completed 730 Days preceding the date of your application for the renewal you are good. That is if you are applying on 1-3-2012 you should have entered Canada on 28-2-10 or EARLIER.
