Hi All,

Need Urgent help !! Employer named on the current work permit (Came on deputation but on OWP, as Primary WP came in).
1. My entire stay in Canada I have been working. 1 Year now
2. I have deputation letter, Original offer Letter, All Pay slips, experience letter for Last 1 year
3. Same employer is giving Offer letter for 1 year after PR also.

My Doubt is, what should I select for field "job offer from the employer named on the current work permit" as I am on OWP but working here from day one with same employer. If I choose this as "No" I am loosing 50 offer letter points.

If you are on an Open Work Permit, then you can only claim points for having a job offer if your employer obtains an approved LMIA. So you would answer "no" to the job offer question. Unfortunately you are not entitled to the 50 points.

Thanks for the reply.

Although I am working with same employer from Last one year and same employer is giving the offer letter for next 1 year, I cant claim that. That's unfortunate. Meaning anyone with OWP will not be getting 50 points without LIMA :(

Correct. An approved LMIA is required for anyone on an OWP if they want to claim the 50 points. Otherwise it's not classified as a job offer under Express Entry.
