OWP & TRP extension

Dear all,

I am a "December 2018 inland" PR spousal sponsorship.

My OWP & TRP expire on December 31st, 2020.

To avoid any problems due to COVID, I would like to apply for an extension for the OWP as soon as possible. For any given reason, if OWP extension is denied, I would still need a TRP to remain here.

So do I play it safe and extend both or apply for OWP first and see what happens?

Why do have a TRP? Did you submit an application for a new work permit together with your PR application? If not, why not? If so, you will be on implied status if your new WP is not issued before the end of the year.

I applied for an extension (OWP & TRP).

I hope they approve it once again.

Again, why would you have a TRP or apply for a TRP which is an exemption for people who are inadmissible to Canada. Are you inadmissible to Canada?
