hi all, hoping someone can help.
So my husbands OWP application was returned and we received a letter like this:

Please be advised that the only temporary resident application this office processes is the Application to change conditions or extend your stay in canada as a worker (IMM 5710), if submitted in conjunction with an application for PR made under the spouse or common Law partner in canada class. This letter came from Mississauga.

So just to explain, we did send the PR spousal application and OWP together arounnd Jan 10/2015 to the mississauga office.
We were also waiting for his visitor visa to be extended (which was sent Nov 14/2015) to Vegreville. So when I sent the OWP i explained that we were waiting for the Visa extension (he did receive the visa extension yesterday as well and got an extension for 1 yr.

So now I don't know where to send this freggin OWP anymore. Does anyone have any advice or similiar situation?

Did you send in the right form (5710), and include it in the same envelope as the PR app?

If so, it sounds like human error that someone just processed it wrong. You may need to send directly to Vegreville now with a note indicating it's to be paired with your PR application. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/updates/2014/2014-12-22.asp

the form was correct the only thing I did was send the visa extenstion applicaiton so they were able to see that he had implied status and that we were not delinquent keeping a valid status.
I did send it all in one enevlope, but I did put the OWP in a separate one. That's what I thought human error on behalf of CIC ;)

One more question rob? So when I send the OWP now to Vegreville should I do a new application, becuase now my husband has valid dates which I can add on the application? As for paymnet, I guess I will just add the old receipt?

Atleast I know that they did open his PR application which was sent 2 wks ago, I really hope this does not delay the process even more.

Thank you Rob, your very helpful here
