owp and sponsorship question

my visitor status is comming up soon here and what i was wondering is since we submited the sponsorship forms and an owp application do i still have to extend my visitor status ?

You can, although it is not necessary since the OWP gives you an implied status but if either application is returned you lose status. If you believe for any reason this may happen to you because of a missing doc, missing signature, outdated form, etc you can apply to extend your status just as a safeguard. If you are confident it wont be returned then you are fine with just the OWP and PR app.
