Overwrite LMO work permit ?

Hi,

The company I am working for granted me a LMO back in october. I have recently been approved for Permanent Resident and got my first stage approval by email.

My question is, would it possible for me to go to the border and get issued an open work permit even though I have a LMO work permit ?

The reason being is that I would like to seek out new opportunities.

1. You can't apply for bridging open work permit at the border. You can't apply for BOWP unless your present WP is valid for less than 7 months. If you have been accepted by a Provincial NP plan, then you can present the facilitation letter at a border and get a new work permit.
