Hi Everyone, Just came across this site and so thankful i have! Great info with a abundant amount of support. I'm Canadian and my husband of 15 years in American. We moved up here in 2009 due to financial hardship, i have been working to support us as well as our son who was born here in Canada. My husband has never left since and now finally have the funds together to sponsor him but he's needing to cross the border soon as well for business purposes. Does anyone know if were able to process the Outland even if he is currently Inland but will be making his way across? I've read that it will be quicker to doing it outland and worst case if he was denied entry back in he will be able to wait it out in the States.

Thank you in advance

it is definitely a good idea to start outland because for US passports it takes not too long ( compared to Inland application). A lot of US/Canadian couples are in the same case, and sometimes having filed an application helps to be let in at the border ( not always of course, it is up to the border officer).

Good luck with putting together the application!
