I originally came here with my fiance whos canadian and our daughter to visit family. When we got here, he decided he wanted to stay and since then for various reason I couldnt leave till now. I am over my 6 months time by 6 months and I do not want to come back to canada at all or get married or anything like that but Im leaving to go back to the us next week and am curious if when i cross the boarder, if im going to be in some sort of trouble or have issues.

Negative.

If -- and no one is certain whether Canada keeps exit records -- you tried to return to Canada in the future, and the border guard realized that you had overstayed your visa before, he/she might deny you entry.

If you are going back to the USA by road, you might want to stay on the US side a few hours, then re-enter Canada and see if they have caught on to your overstaying the visa. At least then you'd know for sure.

Thanks. I have no desire to come back to Canada but for personal reasons. I just know that two years ago I came to BC for vacation and stayed 4 months and when I came the american boarder guys were kinda being weird about it and I hadnt even gone over my 6 months. This time I was suppose to stay 2 weeks and Ive been here a year so I just want to go home without getting detained or anything.
