I have overstay on my record of 9 months back in 2011 ( I stayed for 15 months). I have been allowed to re-enter many times to stay overnight with my family but they always give me a hassle and send me to secondary. Im too worried if I ask for a longer duration I will be denied entry so I usually tell them Im coming in for the day, and then I leave when I said I would. (Good boy!)
If I told the officer I only plan to come into Canada for 24 hours but I stay longer, can I get into trouble? I dont get stamps stating dates nor visitor records, they just question me and then let me into Canada. Doesnt that mean Im technically allowed to stay up to 6 months again?
