Hi everyone, I really appreciate this forum. I have a couple of questions/need advice.

We live in Mexico - I am a Canadian citizen & my husband is Mexican. We have a child together who has dual citizenship.
We are moving to Canada next week. I have all of the outland paperwork ready and completed to be mailed off, however, it seems like you cannot apply for a work permit with the spousal sponsorship/PR outland.

Questions:
1. Even if we've applied for PR OUTLAND, and now we are in Canada, can we apply for a temporary or OWP INLAND? Is that possible? Do we use the online application?

OR

2. Would you suggest changing the paperwork & applying INLAND for sponsorship/PR/OWP all in one application package?

What are the pros/cons for each. We are arriving in Canada next week! He would only have the "visitor" status in the country with the ETA visa. obviously he will want to work, but also we want to be able to visit our family in Mexico as well.

Thanks,

1. No
2. If getting a work permit is important for you, apply INLAND.

Not your question but, a word of caution - be very careful using "moving" to Canada in regards to your husband when talking to CBSA when crossing the border. He is *visiting* Canada, regardless of if you do the inland vs. outland route. (We did this - Canadian citizen spouse moving, me entering on visitor visa a couple months ago.)
