Hello All,

I am not sure if I should apply via inland or outland path. I am sponsoring my spouse, currently in Canada working with an open work permit. It still has about 2 years to expire.

If we apply via outland, will she be able to continue working on her work visa?
For the outland application, would we be able to get the biometrics and medical done in Canada?

And from reading the forum, I understand that if an interview is requested, she would have to travel to the origin country.

Lastly, I didn't find any different packages for the two options. Please confirm if it is the same application, just sent to different mailing addresses for processing.

Thank you all in advance.

Appreciate your help!

Yes if you apply Outland she can still work according to her current work permit.

The application package is the same, you just check a different box on the checklist on which route you are applying under and then yes it’s mailed to different addresses.

And yes you can do the medical and biometrics in Canada.
