Hey Canadavisa,
I am a long time lurker to this forum but haven't posted anything until as of yet. I am Canadian and my wife is Brazilian, I met her online and visited her from June to September 2012. Her TRV was denied in December 2012 when she wanted to visit me in Canada. When she was denied I changed my flight earlier to go to Brazil (I originally booked my flight so that I would return to Brazil with her, but alas). Anyway, I have been down here in Brazil with her since December 2012 and we did finish our PR application together (outland). I sent the application to my parents in Canada with DHL, they returned it because it was incomplete but it was fixed but it has not been resent to Mississauga.
But anyways, that's enough exposition for now...
I want to visit my parents in Canada this December and this time I want to bring my wife with me. We are going to try again for her TRV. The reasons she was denied last time have been improved so there is a better chance for her to get it. The reasons was her ties to Canada were more than Brazil (we weren't married at the time, we got married in February 2013) and they did not believe she would return after her visit. But as I have said it is different now. I have a permanent resident card issued by the Federal Police which is allowing me to stay here as long as I want. I also work as an English teacher here. She already owns some land here and just last Saturday we got the land in our names (with our house being built). She also has a good job here, money is not an issue.
We had an idea on our minds for her to get a letter from her boss, sign a license of leave for her to leave work but still have the job contract there, apply for her TRV, give the consulate in São Paulo the number for her outland PR visa in progress, a letter from my boss, the document showing our piece of land and pictures of it under construction, my PR card etc. And hopefully to get her TRV to go to Canada with me, while there extending her TRV until her PR is done. Can this be done? There are more ties here for both of us now. If possible, when her PR is done where can she go to land to get her PR visa and COPR? I know if they want an interview they will ask her to go São Paulo. And we are still debating whether or not to send her passport through courier (and pay for them to send it back ourselves), or could they give the outland PR visa while she is in Canada with me?
We aren't going to break any laws, we're both very law biding people. Just confused. The situation is very complicated.
Thanks for your time and help CanadaVisa!
