Hi,
I have been staying in Canada since September 2012.
I am getting married in December and returning to Canada mid January.
My spouse is an Indian citizen.
I have started looking into the process of getting my wife here after the marriage and was able to list down the options below:
1) Apply for Tourist Visa prior to marriage and after marriage get her with me (assuming the Tourist Visa is approved):
Based on my research this option seems to be risky as I will anyway end up applying for the PR (mostly outland) later and not disclosing that she is married might impact the PR processing and lot of people were recommending against it.
2) Apply for Outland Spouse PR, once the sponsorship is approved, apply for Tourist/Visitor Visa:
This option seems safer realtive to #1 , however I hear that the chances of the Tourist/Visitor visa getting approved are very bleak.
3) Apply for Outland Spouse PR and do nothing:
This is the straight forward option and I just have to wait for the processing time (6-12 months average) for the process to finish and get my wife here.
Can one of you please help me with the questions I have below?
=> Is option#1 even worth trying?
=> With option#2, are there any risks (i.e. if my wife's spouse PR will/might get queestions/rjected in case the Tourist/Visitor Visa gets cancelled? )
Are there any other options available to get my wife to Canada at the earliest?
Thanks
