On September 24, IRCC announced that "in the upcoming weeks, technology to conduct interviews with applicants remotely, in adherence with public health protocols..."

I am just wondering if there are any Outland PR Family Sponsorship applicant who has had a remote interview since the above announcement. If yes, when did the interview take place? How did the interview take place? (Phone / Skype)? How long was the interview? What was it like / any other remarks? Lastly, how long after was a decision made on your PR application?

My spouse has been waiting for an Interview for almost 7.5 months (since March 05, 2020) ...

Is there a reason your spouse has been waiting for an interview? Not everyone gets an interview, just those whose relationships do not seem genuine.

Because 3.5 years ago she was denied entry as the CBSA officer believed she wouldn't leave at the end of her stay. So the officer issued her an allowed to leave but told her she could return in a day, a week, a month, a year, whenever, provided that she could demonstrate to the officer that she would leave the next time she came to Canada. She had a visa valid for 9.5 more years (10 yr validity). So when this happen the officer allowed my wife (was my girlfriend at the time) to come back to my house to have dinner with my family. We then were able to print off her bank statements, get her letter of employment so we booked flights for her to Canada right away once she left Canada that night.

When she tried to return, the UK border called CBSA to inquire if she would be admitted. CBSA said she would not. She was then detained and repatriated back to Russia.

Ten days after this, she decided to return again. When she arrived in Canada this time at a different airport, the officer issued her a Visitor Record (VR), basically allowing her to enter Canada up until the departure date of her return flight leaving Canada - then told her to take a seat. The officer than discovered her visa was cancelled by IRCC (Canadian Embassy in Moscow) 3 days before this. IRCC did not notify my wife successfuly of this. Therefore she was in violation of the IRPA, even though it wasn't intentional.

Despite this though, the GCMS notes states that: "documents appear to substantiate a genuine spousal relationship" and "no apparent bad faith relationship"

My guess is because of the above she was "redflagged". She was denied two TRVs after this at different points in time. The last was Dec 2019.
