My wife and I are currently living in the US with our two kids. My wife and both kids (under 18) are already Canadian citizens, and I am a US citizen. We're looking to start a outland spousal sponsorship application for my wife to sponsor me, but it's a bit confusing how we document our kids.

On the Generic Application (IMM0008) it says to include all of your dependent children who are not already citizens of Canada.

Do I truly not list them at all on that form? It feels like not listing any dependents is equivalent to saying I have no dependents, which is obviously not true.

Yes, you truly do not list them there - that is the form on which those who are applying for PR must be listed. Citizens are not eligible to become PRs.

YOu will include them on additional family information form.
