Hey all. While working on our applications for we came across a note saying a sponsored applicants passport must be valid for 18 months. Wish I had seen that sooner as we've already completed the medical exam and police check ( since they're only valid for 30 days) and these will expire before my wife can apply for a new passport (next month). Is it possible to submit our application with her current passport which expires May 2017, or do we need to wait for her new passport before we can submit our application? Thanks.

Why would you think the medical and PCCs are only valid for 30 days?

Medical certificates for applicants who pass a medical examination in or outside Canada are valid for twelve months

For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.

For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.
