Hey Everyone.

If you are applying Outland, do your Canadian taxes need to be up to date before you apply to sponsor? Bit behind on taxes.

You need to provide the most recent assessment so they would require 2017 this year

Oh you do? Is that on the document checklist? Or is that something they ask for at a later date?
There are exceptions for non-resident citizens living abroad, who may not be filing yearly Canadian taxes. In these cases an explanation along with country of resident's recent taxes, may be sufficient.

If you are residing in Canada but simply didn't file you taxes for a long time, this may be more of an issue.

Thanks for your help. Yeah, I haven’t lived in Canada since February 2015 and am a Canadian citizen. But I think for common law Outland class, we don’t submit tax information initially....I didn’t see tax information on the checklist...unless I am blind which could be true. Lol
